The exclusive late plum variety, Flavor Fall, was marketed in limited volumes comercially in the 2011 season for the first time. The variety continues to receive praise from both markets and producers alike. Specific mention needs to be made of the varieties suitability for the Far East market. The pluot holds all the characteristics needed to enter the descerning Far East market (size, firmness, sweetness and storage capability).

Delft braai outreach - 4 Dec 2010
We ended our last outreach to Delft, on Saturday morning 4 December with a day at Zoe Academy of Skills. Nick Rust from Neulux provided the soft & tender steak (500+ pieces), Allen at the Intercape workshop made the braais, as well as delivered all the goodies (ice cream lollies from Frozen Fairy, apples from Riel Malan’s Unlimited Fruits, and our jumping castle) to Delft on Friday. read more...
Fruits appoints new MD
The board of the Unlimited Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Hans-Christian Muylaert-Gelein as managing director of Fruits effective from 1 September 2010. Hans brings with him a wealth of retail and product experience and will apply this experience to transform Fruits further into a preferred retail service provider to retailers both locally and internationally.”
The 2010 season allowed Fruits to evaluate the storage and marketing potential of this exciting new plum variety on a semi commercial basis. The plum ripens 2-3 weeks later than Angelino (the current industry norm) and achieved excellent size (AA & AAA) under South African conditions.
Fruits supported the CANSA Shavation fundraising event on Friday, 5th of March 2010. Workplace staff, clients and friends at Fruits offices sprayed their hair in a rainbow of colours to show support and celebrate life with cancer survivors.
